My Services: Tech Help, Done Right

Here’s a detailed breakdown of how I can help you conquer your tech troubles.
My aim is always to provide clear, friendly, and effective help, often over a friendly chat and a cup of tea!

Understanding My Pricing: Standard vs. Advanced Solutions

I believe in clear, straightforward pricing, so you always know what to expect. My goal is to provide fair value for the friendly, expert help I offer, whether it’s a quick fix or a deep-dive solution.

Most tech issues fall under my Standard Support Rate, perfect for getting your everyday computer, internet, and device problems sorted quickly and efficiently. This covers the majority of the services listed above, from tackling Wi-Fi woes to setting up new gadgets and giving your PC a health check.

However, sometimes a tech problem isn’t just a “fix,” it’s a real head-scratcher that requires a more advanced approach. This is where my background as an tech engineer truly shines. For those more complex network configurations, tricky software conflicts, or deep-dive diagnostics that demand a higher level of analytical skill, I offer an Advanced Troubleshooting Rate. This ensures I can dedicate the necessary time and expertise to solve even the most stubborn issues.

How it works: I’ll always assess your issue upfront. If I believe your problem falls into the ‘Advanced Troubleshooting’ category, I’ll have a clear chat with you about it before I begin, explaining why it’s needed and what the expected costs will be. You’ll always be in the loop and agree to the approach before any advanced work starts.

I’m always happy to chat through your specific needs and provide a tailored quote. Give me a call or drop me a message, and let’s get your tech sorted!

Standard Support Rate
  • Call-Out Fee (includes first hour on-site): £85

  • Hourly Rate (after the first hour): £50 per half hour (£100 per hour). I’ll always keep you informed of the time spent and estimated costs as we go.

For example, a 90-minute visit would be £85 + £50 = £135.

To give you a full picture of how my pricing works, let’s also cover hardware parts and the cost-effective option of remote support:

  • Parts: Any necessary hardware parts (e.g., new hard drives, memory, WiFi extenders) will be quoted to you separately for your approval before purchase and installation.

  • Remote Assistance: For many software issues or quick questions, I can often provide support remotely. This is charged at a flat rate, or an agreed hourly rate depending on the task, usually more cost-effective than an in-home visit.

Advanced Troubleshooting / Consultancy Rate
  • Hourly Rate: £135 per hour (minimum 1 hour)

This rate applies when initial diagnostics reveal a problem requiring highly specialised knowledge or in-depth system analysis.
